ART Center
The ART center has been operational since December 2008, providing quality counseling, testing and treatment, mainly ARV’s and Opportunistic Infection(OI) drugs prescribed and supplied by National Aids Control Organization.
The center follows the NACO guidelines for ART. This is an unique Public Private Partnership where Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) has an agreement with NACO for cost free ARV test kits and IO at the GMH ART.
The GMH ART Center has a closed registration of people infected with HIV/AIDS.
PPIA
As part of Mumbai mission for TB control, the Private Provider Interface Agency (PPIA), is an innovative mechanism to engage with the private sector to enhance the detection and treatment of tuberculosis in Mumbai. In this project, PPIA Mumbai has partnered with ALERT-India and Maharashtra Janvikas Kendra.
The major objectives of PPIA include:
1) Facilitate early and accurate diagnosis of TB cases in the private sector.
2) Facilitate TB case notification from the private sector
3) Facilitate appropriate treatment oof cases in the private sector as per Indian standards of TB care
4) Ensure treatment completion and improve cure rates of TB patients in the private sector
Godrej Memorial Hospital was the first hub hospital to offer PPIA services. GMH has registered about 50 TB suspects & diagnosed and put 25 patients on treatment with active cooperation of the physician and chest physician.
